She is recognized as one of the longest standing experts researching and proving the link between human and financial resources on both sides of the hiring desk and is called upon regularly by television, radio, print media, academia and leadership forums to discuss new findings and future forecasts.
With MBA, graduate law and industrial psychology studies and the earliest BSBA in HR Management from Marquette University, Jessica has instructed at graduate, undergraduate and professional certification levels. She also serves on the Public Policy Advisory Council to the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce.
Elected to the Arthritis Foundation Board of Directors and national advocacy delegation, requests for increased federal funding and legislative support have been successfully met...with additional requests still in pursuit! Recipient of the "Distinguished Service Award," Jessica is an inspired philanthropist. In the early 1990's, Jess pushed HR Management and Organizational Development to the executive radar upon earning certification by the Institute of Management Consultants based in New York with international recognition. Until her casework, quantifiable results and client testimonials earned her invitation, HR was not recognized within the eligible management consulting disciplines. This designation is acknowledged worldwide as a "mark of excellence" and is considered a rare achievement among otherwise non-accredited management consulting professionals. Jessica was re-certified by the IMC and earned a third professional certification through the National Bureau of Certified Consultants. Jessica has also served on certification panels and committees for both the IMC and HRMA/SHRM (during the formative years for PHR, SPHR and GPHR certification programs). She provides educational prep to HRCI candidates.
A 15-year esteemed facilitator and member to CEO roundtables, our CEO also regularly designs and administers corporate and community workshops. Jessica has earned a wealth of client recognition from small, mid-sized and Fortune-rated firms, strategic alliances, and receives significant media attention for expertise, tangible success and innovation. Nominated for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Jess has consistently been proven a "visionary" by succeeding where others are still forming new businesses to emulate! In a market where "temporary services" abounded, Jess took HRS in a different direction focusing upon HR/OD programs outside the staffing arena, along with employee retention concepts and paved the way! As examples of her still popular early inventions, Ollenburg in 1987 designed and implemented one of the first software Applicant Tracking programs, in 1988 first coined and copyrighted the phrase "Direct Hire," in 1983 worked with Kronos and the former Control Data to create sophisticated labor tracking and reporting now internationally distributed and recognized by the US Patent Office!
Credited with breaking the "glass ceiling" on multiple occasions through accreditation, recognition and honor, our leader is among the very first women certified, recognized and called upon by successful world class CEOs for expertise and accomplishment within these fields!!
A 25-year Junior Achievement advisor/supporter, 18-year college/high school speaker and a 5+ year youth athletic coach/volunteer, Jessica created the "HRS Commits to Kidz" initiative and has consistently spearheaded a personal and professional campaign to "give back" to the community and "make a difference" in every way possible.
